I have always been fascinated with the way things work, how they are constructed,
how humans figured out the optimum materials to use, and the ingenuity of man to
construct tools or dwellings almost anywhere at anytime in history. 3D modeling is
the perfect craft to be able to not only create, but also to research and see the
relationship between humans and objects as well as objects to other objects. I have
chosen to specialize in hard surface modeling because of my interest in building and
the impact that tools, machines and environments have on a set of characters in real
life, a video game, or a movie.
While modeling, I strive to be as efficient as possible while still enjoying the building
process. By modeling various props and objects, I almost always have to use the
Internet or look through books to learn more about how these objects work and their
various shapes and designs. I especially enjoy this part of the modeling process as I
am expanding my knowledge base and learning more about how the world around me
works.
